Opinel was established in the Savoie region of France well over a hundred years ago and make some of the very best quality knives in the world. Keychain N°02 with Anise handle and stainless steel blade. Opinel use Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge. Coming from French forests, the white wood used for the handle has few veins and is ideal for applying colour. The handle is varnished to be protected against moisture and dirt.
